3 Weeks after Evacuation in Manilla

Three weeks after the evaucation of Saigon the U.S. Marines who served
at the Saigon, Vietnam Embassy were evacuated to the American Embassy, Manilla. When they arrived in the Philippines they had only the cloth on their back. MGySgt Nickles, the NCOIC of the Manilla Embassy and his Marines out of their own pockets clothed, provided toilet items, feed us, and bought us beer .

The Saigon Marines in the picture below are reading what they did in the newspapers. We were still in a dazz from Saigon. We were young.
