The inscription says

This flag was recovered from the U.S. Ambassador Martin's car in Saigon, Republic of Vietnam during the Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975. the following Marines presented the flag to the MSG Battalion on April 1995.

SSgt Jim Daisey, SSgt Dwight McDonald, SSgt Steve Johnson, SSgt Clem Segura, Sgt Kevin Maloney and MSgt Colin Broussard

The Flag was presented in memory of two Marines Killed-In-Action during the attack on the Embassy in Saigon.
