Please give this to President Ford - Its personal
President Ford,
My name is Colin Broussard. I was Ambassador Graham Martin's personnel
bodyguard during the Fall of Saigon, "Operation Frequent Winds". We have
created a Website "The Fall of Saigon by the U.S. Marines"
http://www.fallofsaigon.org
We would appreciate your consideration in writing a letter that could be
posted on the website. Our 'Fall of Saigon' Marines would love to hear
from their respected former President/Commander in Chief.
I have contacted your Library and have a written agreement to post the
Fall of Saigon declassified documents and historical pictures, including those
of you and Dr. Henry Kissinger, as long as I place a link to the Ford Library
site. In addition, I requested that your Library send me a picture of
the staircase. We would love to see it again. It's been 25 years and we are
very happy you have it in your museum. I will post that picture on our
website. I wanted to tell you that there have been so many students from elementary
school through college studying our site for homework assignments. Any
letter you could provide to us would enhance this site and ensure that our
history is told right. On a personal note I want to thank you for bringing us home.
Semper Fi.
Very Respectful,
Colin Broussard
